maybe I am too young. Boy, how could I ever, ever be so dumb." With all of her might, she pushed Dan away: "Please take me home, I don't want to stay." Dan cranked up the engine and floored the gas. In a matter of seconds they were going too fast. As Dan drove on in a fit of wild anger, Jenny knew that her life was in danger. She begged and pleaded for him to slow down, But he just got faster as they neared the town. "Just let me get home! I'll confess that I lied. I really went out for a moonlight ride." Then all of a sudden, she saw a big flash. "Oh God, Please help us! We're going to crash!" She doesn't remember the force of impact. Just that everything all of a sudden went black. She felt someone remove her from the twisted rubble, And heard, "call an ambulance! These kids are in trouble! Voices she heard...a few words at best. But she knew there were two cars involved in the wreck. Then wondered to herself if Dan was all right, And if the people in the other car was alive. She awoke in the hospital to faces so sad. "You've been in a wreck and it looks pretty bad." These voices echoed inside her head, As they gently told her that Dan was dead. They said "Jenny, we've done all we can do. But it looks as if we'll lose you too." "But the people in the other car!?" Jenny cried. "We're sorry, Jenny, they also died." Jenny prayed, "God, forgive me for what I've done I only wanted to have just one night of fun." "Tell those people's family, I've made their lives dim, And wish I could return their families to them." "Tell Mom and Dad I'm sorry I lied, And that it's my fault so many have died. Oh, nurse, won't you please tell them that for me?" The nurse just stood there-she never agreed. But took Jenny's hand with tears in her eyes. And a few moments later Jenny died. A man asked the nurse, "Why didn't you do your best To bid that girl her one last request?" She looked at the man with eyes so sad. "Because the people in the other car were her mom and dad." This story is sad and unpleasant but true, So young people take heed, it could have been you.

How to enjoy a movie at home

There's nothing quite like going to the movie theater. The sonorous explosions of an action movie, the heartwrenching emotions of a drama, all on an enormous screen. But sometimes, it's time to enjoy a movie in the comfort of your own home. Here are some steps to improve your home cinema experience.

Steps

  1. 1
Decide whether you will watch alone or with company. When you get home, either call up your friends and invite them over or watch it all alone. It all depends on the experience you want.

  2. 2
Decide what kind of movie you want to watch. Maybe you're craving an action-packed movie? Maybe you're craving a hilarious comedy. Pick a basic genre of movies first. Ask any friends who are joining you for your movie night at home to throw in with their preference and let the majority rule.

  3. 3
Consider choosing a theme. Maybe you will watch all three "Lord of the Rings" films, or "Star Wars", or maybe you'll watch holiday movies. For example, on St. Patrick's Day, you could watch "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara; at Christmas, you could choose "A Christmas Story" and "The Family Stone," or "It's A Wonderful Life," or even "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Choosing a theme and letting your friends know what it is ahead of time will allow them to think about which film they'd like to see. You could encourage them to make suggestions and then choose from them.

  4. 4
Choose your movie within the genre you picked in step 1. Try to get a film everyone will enjoy - even if you choose an action movie when someone else wanted a comedy, you may be able to find a happy medium: in this example, "True Lies" or "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" might work.

  5. 5
Get great movie snacks. Try to offer similar choices as you would get at the movie theater, like microwave popcorn, packets of candy, hot dogs! Or you could go all out and provide some crudites (cut up veggies and dip), hors d'oeuvres (tiny quiches that you can heat up in the oven), or even shrimp cocktail (just get some frozen, fully cooked tail on shrimp and thaw it overnight in the fridge, get some cocktail sauce and lemon wedges and you've got a party).

  6. 6
Get comfy. Collect everything you'll need in the room where you'll be watching. You don't want to be bouncing up and down every few minutes, going to get stuff you forgot. Get a drink and some snacks, bring some extra pillows, blankets, or a jacket. Put on your comfy, movie-watching clothes and prepare to settle in.

  7. 7
Chat and catch up for a few minutes before you start your movie. When your pals arrive, you'll all want to talk and blow off a little steam before you settled down to your movie, so allow some time for introductions, a little ice-breaking conversation if your guests don't know each other well, or just a little catch-up before you start the show.

  8. 8
Turn off your cell phones and the handset of your house phone. Try to make the experience as immersive as possible by preventing distractions like phone calls from intruding.

  9. 9
Dim the lights. If you can, try to lower the lights. For the best experience, try to keep what lights you are using behind you and your friends. Lights on between you and the TV are very distracting.

Setting up Equipment

  1. 1
Part of the experience of a good home movie is having good equipment at home, if possible. This section discusses improving your movie viewing space.

  2. 2
Buy a large widescreen and flatscreen HDTV if you can afford it. These are best purchased during the sales. Affix it to the wall in a place where a large group of people can sit and see it easily.

  3. 3
Buy surround sound speakers. Again, best purchased during a sale. Affix these to each corner of the TV room. This will ensure a very realistic movie experience.

  4. 4
Consider getting a Blu-Ray DVD player. Although more expensive, the quality is very high and will make everyone feel that they're at the movies.

  5. 5
Be careful not to scratch the DVD when adding it. Use clean rubber gloves to avoid any fingerprints on the DVD.

Ted

Ted

As a child, John Bennett makes a Christmas wish for his new teddy bear to talk and be his best friend forever -- and it comes true. Many years later, John (Mark Wahlberg) is now 35, and though they're still best friends, the bear, Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) has become a bad influence; together, John and Ted spend their time sitting on the couch, making jokes, watching movies, and smoking pot. John's girlfriend, Lori (Mila Kunis), likes Ted and loves John but would really like him to grow up. Unfortunately, John makes one mistake too many, just as a crazed collector (Giovanni Ribisi) kidnaps Ted. Can John get his friend back and straighten out his life?

some comments about this movie

1.You'll feel the warmth and camaraderie of a Bostonian and his little sentient bear.
2.The idea of a toy that comes to life - and then won't go away - isn't a bad one. Too bad that "Ted" manages to overstay its welcome without ever really coming to life itself.
3.Hit and miss humour with problematic undertones buoyed by an intriguing premise and appealing performances from the film's human cast.
4.A film with Ted's ingredients should have you stone-drunk on laughter but this film is the comedic equivalent of pissed-in light beer: its 2.5% funny.
